Man strips and dances in cinema after cocky Facebook post backfires
Cinemagoers nearly choked on their popcorn when bold Luke Samson took his clothes off and started doing the worm.
Film fans watching strip flick Magic Mike XXL in the cinema were left stunned when a naked man jumped up and started gyrating his hips.
Just an hour earlier, Luke Samson joked on a Facebook status that if he got 1,000 likes before the 8.30pm showing, he'd "jump on the stage" and "do a full strip routine."
But then the cocky 25-year-old's post was shared by dozens of his mates and unfortunately for him, it soon spread like wildfire.
The car salesman told the Mirror: "I only wrote it to make people laugh - it was supposed to be a silly little joke."
Within minutes he had over 400 likes and many were even buying tickets for the showing just to see if he'll perform the stunt.
Friend Sophie Hart wrote: "I wanna go just for this - f*** Channing Tatum."
Sean Platel wrote: "Liked and shared this my Mrs is there so I'll get her to video it too."
Unfortunately for Luke, his bold 1,000 target was achieved with 10 minutes to spare.
He added: "There's no way I thought I'd get that many likes, that's why I said 1,000, because there was only an hour until it started!"
When he arrived at Cineworld in Eastbourne, Luke, from East Sussex, was getting second thoughts.
He said: "Right until the very last second I thought I wouldn't do it, I'd back out."
But when the credits started rolling, cheers and screams of "Go on Luke!" were heard.
He stripped to his boxer shorts and confidently bounced his way up to to the screen.
He said: "The song Pony came on and I love that song so I just went for it.
"I looked up to see the place was full, it was sold out and everyone was going mental, screaming cheering and clapping. "
Luke then gyrates and performs an audacious cartwheel before doing the worm and waving his hips in front of a stunned pair of middle-aged women.
The amateur stripper then takes off his underpants to reveal a thong underneath and the crowd go wild.
He then finishes his routine to a rapturous round of applause, before picking up his clothes and quickly darting out of the cinema, where his sister was waiting in a getaway vehicle.
After his stunt, Luke posted the video online with the caption: "I'm a man of my word!"
Friend Sam Dyson wrote: "We now call him Lucky Luke (lucky that he wasn't arrested!)"
Luke added: "My phone has gone mental since but the feedback has been very positive.
"There's a lot of misery in the world at the minute, so I just wanted to spread a bit of happiness and make people laugh."
